Minnesota Partnership for Achievement is working to improve academic standards
The mission of Minnesota Partnership for Achievement is to secure a bright future for our students, our schools and our state by educating, empowering, and uniting champions for student achievement.
Minnesota Partnership for Achievement seeks to restore our K-12 education system using a bottom-up approach that brings parents, policymakers, educators, business leaders, and community members together. Through in-person and online informational events, digital resources, and discussion forums, Minnesota Partnership for Achievement is creating and growing a broad coalition of well-informed, invested stakeholders who are empowered and equipped to advocate for achievement, accountability and excellence in education. Our network of partners engage in centrist, collaborative efforts to develop and advance practical, accountable solutions for K-12 education at the local and state level.
Founded in 2024, the Minnesota Partnership for Achievement (MPFA) is a nonprofit organization leading a statewide effort to reform public education in Minnesota. We are a community-powered initiative focused on one goal: ensuring every child has access to a high-quality K–12 public education.
MPFA is building a broad coalition of parents, educators, business leaders, and policymakers who are committed to putting student achievement first. We are nonpartisan, focused, and results-driven. We believe real, lasting reform starts at the local level—with well-informed, confident school board members and engaged communities.
In a time when public trust in the education system is eroding and student performance is slipping, we are bringing people together to lead from the ground up and rebuild a system that puts students back at the center.
Minnesota’s public schools are in trouble—and too few people are talking about it. For years, we’ve seen declining performance, diminished trust, and distracted leadership. But at the Minnesota Partnership for Achievement, we believe change is not only possible—it’s already happening.
In just the past three years, more than 180 achievement-focused school board members have been elected across 75 districts. These local leaders are ready to lead, but they need support. That’s why I founded MPFA in 2024—to help them succeed.
MPFA provides these leaders with the policy guidance, professional resources, and community connections they need to transform their schools. And we don’t stop there—we also help parents, educators, and citizens take action to elevate expectations and demand results.
We’ve already proven that this model works. Now we need to grow.
I invite you to join us. Whether you’re a parent, an educator, a policymaker, or a concerned citizen, you have a role to play. Together, we can restore excellence in public education and give every Minnesota child the opportunity to succeed.
Thank you for believing in this work—and for standing with us.
